Police: Girl threatened by man with knife in Derry Township

DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police said a girl told them she was threatened by a man with a knife in Derry Township.

According to police, a disabled vet screamed at the girl holding a knife near a school Friday.

Police said the girl was followed in a silver car, and then the man yelled at her about not respecting veterans.  The girl told police the man said he would slit her throat like he did to people back in Vietnam.

Police said the man's car was either a Toyota Camry or Ford Taurus.

Police didn't say what they believe started the incident.
