Police: Man admits to being ‘Uniontown Ninja'

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A man who dressed as a ninja while robbing a Uniontown woman in her driveway has been arrested, police said.

Justin Jellots, 29, was brought in by police for questioning on an unrelated matter when he confessed to attacking a woman outside her Southwood Drive home in early April, police said.

The woman told police she was unloading groceries when a masked man with a knife approached her.

Carol Stewart, a neighbor of the victim, said Jellots got away with the woman’s cellphone.

Police said Jellots claimed to be the man known by Uniontown residents as the “Uniontown Ninja,” and he told police that he was dressed in black and camouflage with Marine pants when he robbed the woman.

Police are investigating whether Jellots is the same person who has broken into other cars in Uniontown while dressed the same way.

Police said Jellots told them he never stabbed the woman in the April incident, telling police, “I open unlocked cars.”
