• Man fatally shot in head in Homewood identified


    HOMEWOOD, Pa. - Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot late Thursday night in Homewood.

    Authorities were called to the scene on North Dunfermline Street just before 10 p.m. for a report of a man bleeding from the head.

    Paramedics reported finding the man, identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as Brian Hall, 18, of Penn Hills, dead in a nearby alley.

    “I can confirm there is a black male found fatally shot on Annan Way,” police spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.

    No other information about the shooting has been released. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police.
