• Police release surveillance video of downtown convenience store robbery

    PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh police have released surveillance video that they hope will help them catch a man who robbed a downtown convenience store Wednesday night.

    A 7-Eleven employee told investigators the man walked behind the counter, pulled out a small silver knife and took all the money from the register. The man also took some cigarettes.

    Authorities said the man ran down Wood Street toward Liberty Avenue.

    No injuries were reported.

    Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
