Police say graffiti vandal caused $100K in damage

McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — Authorities said a graffiti artist accused of causing an estimated $100,000 in damage in McKees Rocks has been arrested.

Police told Channel 11's Renee Kaminski that Jonathan Pitts has been vandalizing different businesses, homes and buildings for months.

“This is what we typically see. It’s far from art, it’s just a mess,” said McKees Rocks police Chief Robert Cifrulak. “We made certain we nipped it in the bud.”

Cifrulak said they offered a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, and the public helped authorities identify Pitts.
