• Police searching for West Mifflin bank robber (surveillance photos released)


    WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. - Authorities have released several surveillance images of a man who robbed a West Mifflin bank Thursday morning.

    According to police, the First National Bank on Lebanon Church Road was robbed just after 9 a.m.

    Investigators told Channel 11 News that the man handed a teller a note demanding money.

    The man is believed to have fled the bank in a light-gray mini-van, officials said.

    He is described as a white male in his early 30s, police said. He is about 6 feet tall and has a thin build.

    Police said he was wearing a black coat with pockets on the breast area, a black hooded sweatshirt, a beige tassel cap with an olive-colored stripe along the edge, sunglasses, blue jeans, grayish-colored tennis shoes and two-toned gloves. The man also had facial hair.
