Port Authority rescinds nonunion employee pay raises

PITTSBURGH — Port Authority Interim CEO Ellen McLean rescinded pay raises given to nonunion Port Authority employees on Saturday, just one day after former CEO Steven Bland was fired.

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald has criticized the raises in the past.

Between 200 and 250 employees received the pay raises on Feb. 1, ending the 30-month wage freeze.

Port Authority officials released a statement that said, "We will review all recent actions and will rescind pay increases for non-represented employees until our board of directors has had an opportunity to review them.”
