Possible weekend sighting of missing 90-year-old; Family offers reward

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — Search crews in Washington County said a missing 90-year-old man with dementia may have been spotted over the weekend.

George Pochiba went missing last week. Family members said Pochiba walked away from his home in Scenery Hill off Route 40 around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

An official search for Pochiba was called off Wednesday because of severe weather, and family members have since organized their own search. They are also offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who finds him.

Volunteers said Pochiba was possibly seen on Morganza Road near Chartiers Creek Saturday.

Pochiba was last seen wearing blue pants and a blue flannel shirt.  Investigators said he walks with a cane.

Family members said moments before Pochiba went missing, he told family members he wanted to “go feed the animals.”
