Prayer service scheduled for local nun severely injured in brutal attack

PITTSBURGH — A prayer service on Friday will be held for a local nun who was brutally attacked in a church parking lot last month.

The Sisters of St. Joseph will hold the service at 11 a.m. in the St. Titus Parking Lot on Sheffield Avenue. The service will be held exactly one month after the attack.

Andrew Bullock, 18,  is accused of attacking the 85-year-old while she was on her way to mass. Bullock remains in jail.

During the prayer service, the site of the attack will be blessed and prayers will be said for all victims and criminals in cases of violence.
