Rachel Carson Bridge closed until Thursday for repair work

PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Department of Public Works officials said the Rachel Carson Bridge (Ninth Street Bridge) will be closed until Thursday.

The bridge closed Monday at 9 a.m. and will reopen at 4 p.m. Thursday.

During the closure crews will be making deck repairs.

Motorists should use caution and be prepared for changing traffic patterns. A detour to the Andy Warhol Bridge is posted.
