• Scattered showers expected throughout the day

PITTSBURGH - Scattered showers are expected to continue throughout the day Wednesday, and there is a chance for a few thunderstorms, according to Severe Weather Team 11 chief meteorologist Stephen Cropper.

Cropper said he doesn’t see any severe weather in Wednesday’s forecast.

Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologist Kevin Benson said he expects scattered showers Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The overnight low temperature should be about 52 degrees.

Cropper said the showers will taper off for the most part by Thursday as the Channel 11 viewing area gets a break between systems. The high temperature is expected to be about 74 degrees Thursday.

According to Cropper, another system is expected to move into the area Friday. More showers are expected and there is a chance of storms.
