Divers locate body of missing woman in pond; Investigation continues

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Emergency divers have found the body of a woman who went missing in a Lawrence County pond Tuesday night.
 
Nancy List, 26, disappeared after a boat capsized in a pond on County Line Road in Scott Township between 8 and 9 p.m. Tuesday.
 
Officials said she had been fishing with her husband, 29-year-old Michael List. Michael List told authorities that he saw his wife go under the water, but was unable to find her.
 
Air and rescue teams called off the search late Tuesday due to poor visibility, and resumed Wednesday morning. Officials said her body was located just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
 
"We pretty much knew that night it was a recovery not a rescue," said Scott Township Fire Chief Jack Hitchen.
 
Michael List told reporter Pamela Osborne fishing was something they enjoyed doing together and that they were a couple months shy of celebrating their two-year anniversary.
