PITTSBURGH — Franklin West, long a major real estate presence in Shadyside, is proposing to add to its residential inventory with a new project on Walnut Street.
The company is on the agenda for the March 6 meeting of the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustments to build a 12-unit project on an open lot adjacent to a residential property it owns at 6214 Walnut St. near the intersection at Emerson.
A site plan of the proposal shows two sets of six townhouses totaling a little more than 1,600 square feet with a shared open space behind them in a location close to Shady Avenue and about six blocks from the business district section of Walnut Street. Downtown-based Perfido Weiskopf Wagstaff + Goettel is the architect for the project, according to agenda materials.
A press inquiry to Franklin West was not immediately returned.
