• Sharpsburg police investigating report of attempted child luring


    SHARPSBURG, Pa. - Sharpsburg police are investigating a report of attempted child luring.

    According to police, a 10-year-old girl said a man in a white work van followed her school bus after trying to get her to come over to his van on North Canal Street Monday morning.

    Surveillance video shows the school bus drive by.  Then, a white van makes a right turn and another white van comes up behind it.

    The girl said an older man with gray hair motioned for her to walk toward his van.

    The girl said she immediately walked to her bus stop, got on the bus and told her principal at Kerr Elementary School when she arrived.
