• Shots fired at Fayette County store, state police say

    SMITHFIELD, Pa. - Authorities are investigating after shots were fired at a Fayette County store Monday morning.

    State police told Channel 11 News that the elderly owner of a store fired shots at a man who allegedly tried to rip him off.

    Both the store owner and the man are being questioned by state police.

    No other details have been released.
