Shots fired in Penn Hills shopping plaza lot; 1 person hurt

PENN HILLS, Pa. — Several shots were fired in a Penn Hills shopping plaza parking lot Tuesday night.

Investigators said the shooting happened on Robinson Boulevard at the Eastwood Plaza around 6 p.m.

Detectives said the shots were fired from one car to another.

Police said a man who was in the car that was targeted was wounded in the shooting. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The bullets also damaged one woman's truck. She said she was just minutes from getting in her car.

"I was coming out the door of the state store and then all of the shots started firing and everybody started scrambling and I went down to the ground," said Rose Worth.
