5-car accident causes delays at Squirrel Hill Tunnel

PITTSBURGH — The Squirrel Hill Tunnel was briefly closed on the outbound side of Parkway East, I-376, due to a 5 car accident Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and quickly cleared the accident.

It’s unclear if any injuries were reported, and the cause of the accident has not been determined.

Motorists experienced significant delays.
