Steelers have plenty of questions at RB heading into summer

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers head into the summer with a running game that is facing a number of questions.

Will top running back Rashard Mendenhall, who is recovering from knee surgery, be able to play at all in 2012?

During the Steelers' organized team activities this week, Mendenhall has been running on his own and told Channel 11 News he feels good but wouldn't set a date for possible return.

Can Ike Redman carry the load at running back while Mendenhall recovers?

The Steelers new No. 1 running back arrived for the team's organized activities in perhaps the best shape of his career.

Redman played well in place of Mendenhall in the Steelers' playoff loss to Denver and believes he has the skills necessary to do that for an entire season.
