• Surveillance captures man stealing women's underwear from apartment building

    STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Authorities in State College are investigating the theft of women’s underwear from a downtown laundry room.

    According to police, surveillance cameras captured a man entering the Meridian apartment building on E. College Avenue around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

    Investigators said the man, who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, was captured on video entering the apartment building and then going into the laundry room and stealing women's underwear from a dryer.

    The man was described as bald and heavyset. He had a light-colored goatee and was wearing a red Orange County Choppers hooded sweatshirt.

    Authorities ask that anyone who can identify the male to contact the State College Police at 814-234-7150.
