Suspect arrested after high-speed police chase on Route 65

McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — One person was arrested Thursday afternoon after a police chase that lasted several miles on Route 65.

According to police, the chase started in Pittsburgh when they tried to get the suspect to pull over. After several miles, the chase ended at the intersection of Termon Avenue and Route 65, just north of the McKees Rocks Bridge.

Three cars were hit along Route 65 during the chase, police said.

“I was sitting there and I felt a 'boom' on my right, and this guy kept coming between the cars. He went in the turn lane and took off,” Deron Jackson said.

Witnesses described the incident as one of the craziest car chases they’ve ever seen.

“I was just leaving my internship, and now this,” Sam Weaver said.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
