Teen missing from Boy Scout camp in Fayette Co. found

WHARTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities in Fayette County are no longer looking for a 16-year-old boy who was reported missing Monday.

According to police, Jacob Rushkoff was camping at the Boy Scout Heritage Reservation on Heritage Road in Wharton Township.

He was last seen around midnight when he told staff and other campers that he was planning on going for a run around 5:30 a.m.

Investigators said it’s unknown if he actually went for the run or not.

Police said they were contacted around 10 a.m. when staff reported they could not find Rushkoff.

Just after 2 p.m. Monday, Rushkoff was located by park rangers, officials said. No other details have been released.
