Trial for man accused of killing Penn Hills police officer to stay in Allegheny County

PITTSBURGH — The trial for the man accused of killing a Penn Hills police officer will remain in Allegheny County.

Ronald Robinson is accused of killing Officer Michael Crawshaw in December 2009.

Robinson’s attorneys asked to have his murder trial moved, arguing that the jury pool had been tainted when the district attorney’s office announced it had rejected a plea deal.

So far, nine jurors have been selected for the trial.
