• Truck hits 12-year-old boy riding electric bike in Lawrence Co.

    UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A child was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after being hit by a pickup truck on Saturday in Lawrence County.

    Police said the accident happened around 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Sunny Avenue and Smithfield Street in Union Township.

     According to police, the 12-year-old was riding an electric mini-bike when he went through a stop sign and was hit.

    No word on the boy’s condition or whether the driver of the truck will face charges.
