USA hockey team member, RMU grad talks Olympics experience

PITTSBURGH — USA hockey team member and Robert Morris University graduate Brianne McLaughlin talked to Channel 11's Bill Phillips about her Olympics experience on Thursday.

Despite not winning a gold medal, McLaughlin said she wouldn't trade her Sochi experience for anything.

"Looking back on the last seven months with my team, it was incredible.  The things we got to do and the people we got to meet …

"The group of girls was the best group of girls I have ever played with," said McLaughlin.

McLaughlin has a world championship gold medal and two Olympics silver medals.

The drive to win gold at the Olympics games may have her back in four years.

"After being this close to a gold medal, my absolute biggest dream, and not getting it, I can't just stop.  My plan now is I'm going to go for it," she said.
