• Victim of purse snatching at Westmoreland Co. Walmart dies

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Two sisters accused in a violent purse snatching in Westmoreland County could face more charges.

The elderly victim, Mary Yourchik, 82, has passed away.

Investigators said the additional charges could come if an autopsy shows Yourchik’s death stemmed from an attack outside the South Union Township Walmart in March.

Brittny and Jenna Boyd pleaded not guilty to robbery and assault charges in connection to the incident.

Police said Yourchik was buying Easter candy for her grandchildren when the sisters attacked her.

    Yourchik died Monday.
