Vigil held for Greensburg teen

GREENSBURG, Pa. — A Westmoreland County teen who suddenly died Wednesday was remembered at Hempfield High School Saturday night.

Friends and family of Jonny Morelli, 18, held a candlelight vigil in honor of the high school senior who his mother said touched every person he ever met.

"My son, in the 18 years that he lived, packed more life into his 18 years than I did into my 42, and the lives that he’s touched is just, it just shows everybody that’s come out what an amazing kid he was,” Rachele Morelli said.

More than 100 people attended Saturday’s vigil.

The Westmoreland County coroner is waiting on toxicology results to determine a cause and manner of death.
