• Visitations begin for Bishop Anthony Bosco


    GREENSBURG, Pa. - Visitations began Monday for the late Greensburg Catholic Diocese Bishop Anthony Bosco.

    Bosco, who was bishop of that diocese for 17 years, grew up on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

    Bosco, 85, passed away Tuesday night while watching the Pirates game at his home in Unity Township.

    Bosco’s body will be received at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg Monday and Tuesday.

    A Mass will be celebrated for Bosco at the cathedral Tuesday at 7 p.m.

    A funeral Mass for the bishop is set for Wednesday morning.
