Authorities say suspect in fatal Homewood bar shooting in custody

HOMEWOOD, Pa. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a Homewood bar shooting that left one man dead and four others wounded.

Police said 27-year-old Corey Clark was arrested Tuesday in the shooting that killed 27-year-old Vincent Edward Holt Jr. and injured four others.

Clark, of Penn Hills, is charged with criminal homicide and multiple counts of aggravated assault, criminal attempted homicide, recklessly endangerment and a weapons charge, police said.

Channel 11's Renee Kaminski was the only reporter at police headquarters when Clark was brought in Tuesday afternoon. He didn't say anything as she asked him several questions.

According to the criminal complaint, Holt was shot eight times and he “never saw it coming.”

Kaminski reported that Clark is a recent parolee and as a convicted drug felon, he wasn’t supposed to be in a bar.

Allegheny County District Attorney's Office spokesman Mike Manko said the bar owner has agreed to keep the business closed until meeting with detectives on Wednesday.

Authorities have yet to release the name of the owner of the Rendezvous Phase III bar, where the shooting happened about 1 a.m. Saturday.
