Warrants issued for 3 women accused of trying to kidnap girl from foster home

ALQUIPPA, Pa. — Arrest warrants have been issued for three women accused of trying to kidnap a 4-year-old girl from a foster home in Aliquippa.

According to police, Savanna McFarland, Andrea McFarland and Danielle Jackson tried to kidnap a 4-year-old girl from a foster home. Savanna McFarland is the girl’s birth mother, who police said does not have legal custody of the child.

“They sat outside and watched the house. They walked in when someone else came to visit,” Aliquippa police Detective Steve Roberts said.

Investigators said the foster parents eventually fought off the women and they fled the scene.

“She actually had the baby in her arms ready to leave the house,” Roberts said. “These ladies attempted to kidnap this child. It was scary moments for this family and the child.”

Authorities said the women will be charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
