Weather will be optimal for viewing lunar eclipse

PITTSBURGH — There is going to be a big show in the sky early Tuesday morning, and the weather will be fantastic for it.

The full Beaver moon will peak just before sunrise Tuesday morning, and it will be the last total lunar eclipse we’ll see until March 2025.

The eclipse will begin shortly after 4 a.m. with the totality running from 5:15 to 6:41 a.m.

We’ll have live images on Channel 11 Morning News Tuesday morning.

Despite clear skies and dry conditions, we won’t get to enjoy the full eclipse. The moon sets at 7:05 a.m. with the partial eclipse not ending until 7:49 a.m.
