• Jogger comes forward after dog bites boy in Wilkinsburg

WILKINSBURG, Pa. - A woman whose dog allegedly bit a boy while she was jogging in Wilkinsburg came forward to authorities, police said Sunday.

A 9-year-old boy was bitten Saturday morning as the woman was jogging with her dog along South Trenton Avenue, police said.

The dog reportedly lunged at the boy, who was with his 12-year-old brother, and bit him in the right thigh as it passed by with the woman. The woman then continued on with her jog after saying that the dog had all of its shots, authorities said.

The boy sustained a dime-size puncture wound and was treated at the scene before being taken to Children’s Hospital by his father.

    No charges have been filed.
