Woman dies after falling 4 stories from Squirrel Hill apartment building

SQUIRREL HILL, Pa. — A woman in her 70s died after falling from a fourth-floor balcony at a Squirrel Hill apartment building Monday morning.

Pittsburgh police Lt. Richard Reilly said the incident was reported at the Maxon Towers on Forbes Avenue just after 10 a.m.

Authorities at the scene told Channel 11 News that the woman was leaning over the railing of her balcony and fell. Her name hasn’t been released.

The cause and manner of death is pending results from the medical examiner.
