Woman hit by train airlifted to hospital

TARENTUM, Pa. — A woman was flown to Allegheny General Hospital Sunday night after she was hit by a train in Tarentum.

Officials said the woman, whose name hasn’t been released, was crossing the tracks at Fifth Avenue and Corbet Street around 8 p.m. Sunday when she was hit.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video to try to figure out what happened.

The woman’s condition hasn’t been made available.
