Woman killed while crossing road from store in Butler Township

An 84-year-old woman was killed while attempting to cross a road Saturday in Butler County.

Rita Nauman was attempting to cross Evans City Road from Dollar General just before 5 p.m. when she stepped into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound, according to the Butler Township police department.

The driver remained on scene.

The accident is under investigation.
