Woman who ran over boyfriend with van to be sentenced

PITTSBURGH — An East Pittsburgh woman who ran over her boyfriend with a minivan earlier this year is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.

Demona Anderson, 40, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in May. She testified she was trying to block Dwan Jones from boarding a Port Authority bus because he assaulted her.

Police said she ran over him with her van and took money out of his wallet before paramedics arrived. Jones died two months later.

Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. We’ll bring you an update as it’s made available.
