• Man Accused In Fayette County Walmart Shoplifting Surrenders

    UNIONTOWN, Pa.,None - A man accused of stealing more than $330 worth of items last month from a Walmart in Fayette County has surrendered, police said.

    Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIve reported that Taryll Matthew Skaggs, 34, of Smithton was charged Wednesday with retail theft and theft by deception in connection with three April incidents.

    Police said Skaggs had nine prior retail theft convictions.

    Police said he took cookware, food and other items from the South Union Township store. Warrants were issued for his arrest.

    Police said identification by a store employee and surveillance footage were used to link Skaggs to the crimes.

    The stolen items are valued at $330.
