“I was filling up the ice machine and the whole building went ‘poof,’ rattled,” she said. “I looked at the cook. I said, ‘What just happened?’ He said, ‘Turn around and you’ll see.’ I could not believe my eyes.”

A man was sitting with his wife and three children at a table inside the restaurant when the accident occurred, Greg Meyer, Linda Meyer’s husband, told Channel 11 News. He was cut by broken glass.

“I ran and told my one worker to get some towels and went and put pressure on his cuts, and then we just waited for the police and ambulance to get here,” Greg Meyer said.

Greg Meyer described the crash as sounding like an explosion.

“Then I just saw the one guy diving for the floor and the car coming through the window, and just glass going everywhere,” he said.

Channel 11 News was told that the man who was injured was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
