Man shot and killed over neighbor's trash

ABILENE, Tex. — A Texas man and his adult son are out on bond, both charged in their neighbor's murder after a heated exchange over a mattress left in a dumpster.

The victim has been identified as Aaron Howard. He was unarmed.

Howard's fiancé shared video of the confrontation online. She says Howard was upset that John Miller and his son, Michael, pulled out a gun in front of his son, which prompted the deadly encounter. The Millers are each facing murder charges. Both are out on $25,000 bond.
