BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Pa — A Michigan man listed as a top firefighter has been charged in the rape of a Beaver County woman.
The Beaver County Times reported that Lee Finlayson of Rockford, Michi. is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her home in Brighton Township last month.
Police have not said why he was in Beaver County or how he knew the woman.
Finlayson is being held in a Michigan jail while authorities go over extradition procedures.
He was named Firefighter of the Year by the Grand Rapids Fire Department last year.
