• Kingsolver, Mosley among authors in free e-compilation

    NEW YORK (AP) - Excerpts from upcoming works by Barbara Kingsolver, Walter Mosley and dozens of other authors are available through a free download.

    On Wednesday, the industry newsletter Publishers Lunch released a pair of free e-compilations: "Buzz Books 2018: Fall/Winter" and "Buzz Books 2018: Young Adult Fall/Winter." Among the featured books are Kingsolver's "Unsheltered," Mosley's "John Woman" and Kate Milford's "Bluecrowne." Others include Alessandro D'Avenia's Italian best-seller "White as Silence, Red as Song" and Stephen L. Carter's nonfiction account of his grandmother, "Invisible: The Forgotten Story Of The Black Woman Lawyer Who Took Down America's Most Powerful Mobster."

    The two e-books are available through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, Apple's iBookstore and other outlets.
