Tua Tagovailoa sidelined vs. Bills with head injury, replaced by Teddy Bridgewater as Dolphins QB

Tua Tagovailoa left for the locker room in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills and was replaced by Teddy Bridgewater.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback sustained the injury when he fell backward to the turf on a shove by Bills linebacker Matt Milano. The back of his head bounced off the turf.

Tagovailoa stood up on his own, but he had trouble walking and fell back to the ground.

He then left for the locker room with the assistance of two trainers, and the Dolphins soon announced that he was questionable to return with a head injury. Milano was flagged for roughing the passer on the play. The game was tied at 14-14 when Tagovailoa suffered the injury.

Tagovailoa's coming of a career performance with a six-touchdown day in a comeback from a 21-point deficit against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. The win set up Sunday's showdown against the fellow 2-0 Bills with first place in the AFC East on the line. He started the game completing 8 of 10 pass attempts for 76 yards with a touchdown to River Cracraft.
