The incident happened during the sixth inning of the game as the Pirates took on the Colorado Rockies.

Scott Ashley, 41, appeared heavily intoxicated and was using excessive foul language and disrupting other fans' enjoyment of the game, said Brian Warecki, Director of Communications for the Pirates.

Warecki said after receiving complaints from fans, Ashley was asked by PNC Park staff to leave the game. He refused and threatened the employee with foul and abusive language, according to Warecki.

At that point, pursuant to PNC Park procedure, Pittsburgh police on duty at the ballpark were asked to assist, and it became a police matter, Warecki said.

In a video posted on YouTube, Ashley can be seen being shot with a Taser. Officers are shown striking Ashley several times with batons, too. The video quickly went viral and had over 100,000 hits by Monday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, the officer who responded said, "(The) actor then incited the crowd by getting louder with me, challenging me to remove him from his seat. I then informed the actor that he had no choice."

A woman who confronted police about Ashley's arrest was also arrested, according to the criminal complaint.

A video, also posted on YouTube, shows Amanda Harle, 30, being handcuffed on the floor of PNC Park as police tried to remove her from the facility.

According to the criminal complaint, Harle was intoxicated and refused to leave the park. Channel 11's Alan Jennings reported that Harle is a producer and writer for KDKA-TV.

The criminal complaint stated that Harle shouted obscenities at police and said "I work for KDKA. I will fry your (expletive)."

Police said Harle was demanding that officers tell her why Ashley was under arrest and her actions caused fans to get hostile.

The criminal complaint went on to say, "All the while fans were cursing at us, spitting on us and throwing drinks and food at us. We both feared for our safety."

Channel 11's Cara Sapida reported that the Police–Citizens Review Board is now investigating the case.

Director Beth Pittinger said someone who saw the video online sent her the clip.

"I got an email from a woman saying, 'Watch this. It made me sick to my stomach. Please do something.'" Pittinger said.

The case has been opened and Pittinger said the investigation is now underway.

Ashley faces a number of charges, including harassment and resisting arrest. He's currently being held at the Allegheny County Jail. Harle faces charges of aggravated assault against a police officer and disorderly conduct.

Jennings reported that a source close to the investigation said Harle may face an additional charge of inciting a riot.
