• Pittsburgh takes green step forward with new bike share program

    Updated:

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh has taken a big step forward toward becoming a bike-friendly city this summer.

After installing a few new bicycle lanes this spring, more bikes are on the street thanks to Pittsburgh’s new bike share program.

When finished, Pittsburgh Bike Share would have installed over 50 new bike racks, meaning 500 bikes that will connect 11 neighborhoods in the Pittsburgh metro area. Currently, 34 stations are up and running.
