• Police investigating after 4 people shot in Pittsburgh neighborhood


    PITTSBURGH - Police are investigating after a total of four people were shot in California-Kirkbride Sunday.

    Officers responded to the report of eight gun shots around 10 p.m. near the 1600 block of Brighton Place.

    Authorities found a woman who had been shot in both ankles and a man who had been shot in the leg. Both were taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

    Two other victims fled the scene. One man was found in the 1500 block of Brighton Place and transported to Allegheny General Hospital. Another man was found in the 1900 block of Sedgwick Street and was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.

    All four victims are in stable condition. 

    The Group Violence Intervention Unit is investigating.
