Kathleen Smith of Canonsburg is the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor.
A retired retail merchant originally from Pittsburgh, she has previously served on the Canon-McMillan School Board. She graduated from Duquesne University and serves on the boards of several nonprofits.

Smith plans to reduce the size of state government and increase its efficiency. She also wants to decriminalize drug use and cut licensing requirements for businesses in the state.
Smith is married and has a stepdaughter.
