Proud to be from Pittsburgh: teachers helping kids learn during coronavirus quarantine

PLUM Pa. — A local preschool teacher is not letting the coronavirus and the stay-at-home orders keep her from connecting with her students.

“Everybody misses each other and I just wanted to try to do something to make things appear normal until we can get back together again,” Tracey Donnelly said.

Donnelly teaches at St. John’s Preschool in Plum. She does a Facebook Live and reads to her class every night. She also goes over crafts for families to take part in together.

“As a parent, it is really touching to see someone else care about your child so much,” said Jackie Dorn. Dorn has a child in Donnelly’s class.
