CARRICK, Pa.,None — A woman is without a home after she said her landlord let the house she was renting go into foreclosure.
Darlene Vacsulka said county agents came to her Carrick home on Monday and asked her to leave.
"I said, 'No, I'm a renter. I have a lease until April.' They said I had to leave today," Vacsulka said. "This should not be happening to me and it's happening to me."
Vacsulka said she has a collapsed lung and a ruptured appendix and must travel with an oxygen machine.
"I have hospital supplies coming tomorrow. Am I allowed to sit and wait on my porch? I don't know," she said. "I feel like we need a miracle now from God."
The county granted a 15 day extension to Vacsulka, giving her more time to figure things out. She said she is looking for a new place to live, but currently has nowhere to go.
