Suspect leaves a trail of beer cans while running from police

WISE COUNTY, Va. — Wise County Virginia Sheriff's deputies joined the pursuit of an escaped inmate who left a trail of beer cans behind him.

Travis Scott Pratt ran away from custody on foot, then stole a pickup truck and took off.  Deputies followed reports of a reckless driver moving at a high rate of speed, but it was the trail he left that made it easy.

The truck had a large amount of beer cans in the bed and the tailgate had been left down.

Pratt eventually jumped from the truck while it was still moving and he was arrested again.  He is now facing additional charges.
