13-year-old girl has been missing from Pittsburgh neighborhood for week

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are asking for the public’s help locating a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for a week.

Vita Williams was last seen Sept. 14 in the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood. She was wearing black and red shoes.

Williams is known to frequent Brighton Heights, the South Side and downtown Pittsburgh, police said.

Anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts is asked to call the special victims unit at 412-323-7141.
