3 condos merge into 1 unforgettable unit atop Fairmont Hotel for $5.25 million

PITTSBURGH — Temperatures are rising, but Matt Spaeth — yes, that Matt Spaeth — could not help but think of winter as he guided a tour of a $5.25 million condo in Downtown Pittsburgh, according to our news partners at TribLIVE.

“The owner said that when he sits on the couch at Christmas time with all of the decorations surrounding him while it is snowing, he feels like he is sitting inside of a snow globe,” said Spaeth, the former Steelers tight end who now works as a Realtor for Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty.

The 180-degree views come from the 19th floor of 550 Market St., which also houses the Fairmont Hotel.

Between 5,500 and 6,000 square feet of space inhabits the 19th floor at the Residences at the Fairmont. The space involves three previously separate condos renovated into one. Finished around 2010, the property is offered at $5.25 million.

The main space is intended for entertaining. Dual fireplaces bookend the room. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer vast views of Downtown and PNC Park.

“For people who want city living, this is definitely Downtown living,” Spaeth said.
